With the extension of its inverter based mini-chiller range, Daikin is able to cover any heating and/or cooling need for the residential and light comercial market up to 14kW.
With the extension of its inverter based mini-chiller range, Daikin is able to cover any heating and/or cooling need for the residential and light commercial market up to 14kW. Moreover, it can also pride itself in some of the best ESEER’s (European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios) and COP’s in the industry.
In addition to energy savings, other benefits of the extended range include easy installation, compactness, system quietness, as well as a constant room temperature.
Enhanced energy efficiency: ESEER up to 4.7
Testifying to its concern for the environment, Daikin equipped the extended mini-chiller range with an inverter-controlled scroll compressor that results in maximum efficiency, especially in partial load conditions. With its three-phase 9kW model (EWA/YQ009ACW1P), Daikin obtains one of the highest ESEER’s in the industry: up to 4.73 in cooling mode - and one of the top COP’s in heating mode: up to 3.48.
Another major benefit of the incorporation of inverters in the mini-chillers – besides limiting the start/stop cycles, thereby considerably reducing energy consumption – is that it allows precise and stable water temperature control (resulting in higher comfort levels) and minimizes peaks in energy consumption (especially in starting phase).
Application flexibility
For both versions of its inverter based mini-chiller – EWAQ (cooling only) and EWYQ (heat pump) – Daikin has introduced single-phase and three-phase power models with cooling and heating capacities up to 14 kW.
Connectable to a wide range of fan coil units, the extension of the mini-chiller range gives Daikin a complete and competitive range of inverter based systems suitable for residential and small commercial applications: cooling and heating of homes, villas, guest houses, and even small shops.
Added benefits
Thanks to its integrated hydronics kit (circulating pump, expansion vessel, safety valves, etc.) and a standard main switch, the mini-chiller has become a compact plug-and-play system that is easy to install. Other benefits include its compact size (1420mm x 1420mm x 320mm) and silent operation (sound power of 64 dB), multiple options (evaporator heater tape & pump up to 90kPa available head), as well as a reduced refrigerant charge (<3kg of R-410A), proof once again of Daikin’s pioneering concern for the environment.
The extended inverter mini-chiller range is able to supply chilled water from 5 to 22°C or hot water from 25 to 50°C at ambient temperatures between respectively 10 to 46° C and -15 to 35°C.
