Go for "Your Daikin World": New Experience Center opened in Vienna

With "Your Daikin World", Daikin Central Europe opened a new location for co-creation in Austria. It is an open space where new climate solutions for hotels, retail, offices or large commercial applications can be experienced and the entire heating, cooling and air conditioning industry is invited for a vivid exchange.

Vienna, August 2021 – “Your Daikin World” at Daikin Central Europe’s headquarters in Vienna is unique in Europe. Customers, partners and stakeholders can experience innovative solutions for each climate need – either live or by augmented reality. Nearly the entire Daikin product portfolio is available for training purposes in the included Training Center, and a new Conference Area offers plenty of space for inspiring co-working-sessions and workshops together with industry experts.

The Japanese manufacturer's innovative experience centre consists of three main areas: 

  • Solution Area  
  • Training Center 
  • Conference Area 

Co-create

In the Solution Area, every aspect of the industry is covered. A wide variety of rooms showcase tailor-made solutions and use-cases for hotels, offices, retail or private homes. Thanks to impressive augmented reality features, Daikin products and solutions are presented in a very tangible way.

The Training Center Area provides a state-of-the-art training environment and is unique in Central Europe. Almost the entire Daikin product portfolio is available for installers and distributors to deepen their knowledge and skills in consultancy, installation, maintenance as well as monitoring in order to exceed Daikin units life-time. 

The Conference Area offers plenty of space for co-creation for a vivid exchange within the industry through workshops, conferences or exclusive meetings with Daikin experts.

Institut Pasteur de Lille evaluated the effectiveness of Daikin’s air purifiers against respiratory viruses

Brussels, July 2021 – Renowned French laboratory Institut Pasteur de Lille concludes from its tests that Daikin’s range of air purifiers eliminates more than 99.98% of the human coronavirus HCoV-229E in 2.5 minutes. As a specialist in air quality management, Daikin sees it as its mission to provide innovative solutions and has been selling air purifiers for over 45 years. Its air purifiers and patented air purifying technology, which is applied in other Daikin equipment, have long since proven their effectiveness against air pollution, as well as seasonal pollen and viruses.

Sustainable growth – Daikin Central Europe closes fiscal year 2020 with a positive outlook

Vienna, June 2021 – “2020 was a challenging year for the entire HVAC-R-industry, but thanks to our motivated team we were able to continue our story of success during the pandemic: We achieved a turnover of 289 million Euro and significantly increased our sales compared to 2015 which marked the beginning of our last 5-year business plan that ended this year” says Carl Lievens, Managing Director of Daikin Airconditioning Central Europe HandelsgmbH, who is responsible for 16 markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
