The Oris House of Architecture, which opened in 2015, promotes architecture, design, art and culture in the Croatian capital Zagreb.
The 600m2 building includes a large multi-media space, the offices of an architectural publishing company, a library and a restaurant. It hosts exhibitions, lectures, events and concerts and was visited by more than 10,000 people in its first year.
Selecting a climate control system flexible enough to meet the highly variable demands of the building was crucial and Daikin’s VRV IV system was the ideal solution.
VRV IV features Variable Refrigerant Temperature technology, which continually adjusts refrigerant temperature to match heating or cooling demand and the outside temperature quickly. This means less power is needed, efficiency is higher and comfort is improved.
One VRV IV heat pump provides continuous heating at the Oris House of Architecture, while an ERQ condensing unit delivers cooling. These serve seven floor-standing units and three Roundflow ceiling cassettes that match the building’s impressive interior, which features exposed HVAC ducting and equipment.

A combination of floor standing and ceiling units serve the exhibition areas.

The Daikin system ensures the 10,000 visitors to the Oris House of Architecture.
