At just over 96m tall, with 25 storeys, VMD Tower B is the tallest office building in Croatia and one of its most efficient, having been awarded an A energy certificate.
All 19,800m2 of floor space of the tower, which includes offices, corridors and a gym on the ground floor, is kept comfortable thanks to a highly efficient Daikin VRV IV climate control system.
Along with inverter control, the latest version of Daikin’s market-leading system features Variable Refrigerant Temperature technology, which continually adjusts refrigerant temperature to match heating or cooling demand and the outside temperature quickly. This means less power is needed, efficiency is higher and comfort is improved.
Fifty-seven outdoor units mounted on the roof serve 685 ceiling cassettes and the entire system is controlled by two of Daikin’s intelligent Touch Manager (iTM) building management systems.
VRV IV is ideal for buildings like VMD Tower B, which is home to many different businesses, as it allows control of climate in different zones and, when combined with ITM with PPD option, enables individual billing of tenants.

The 57 VRV IV outdoor units were installed on the roof of Croatia’s tallest office building.

Discrete and quiet ceiling cassettes provide heating and cooling to the offices over 25 floors.

Two intelligent Touch Manager systems control the HVAC system, with businesses able to control their individual working environments through separate controls.
