DAIKIN: Distinguished (working) climate! Great Place to Work Institute honours DAIKIN with award „Austria’s Best Employer 2014”

(Brunn am Gebirge, March 2014) For the 12th time The Great Place to Work Institute selected Austria’s most outstanding employers. Daikin Airconditioning Central Europe had handed in their second application and was clearly able to endorse its previous year’s success: Again the company was honoured with the sought-after award that stands for excellent working place culture.

In total, 32 Austrian employers received the coveted trophy for the top flight of employers on the occasion of the Great Place to Work gala at the Colosseum XXI venue in Vienna, Austria. Daikin, global leader in the field of high class air conditioning systems for commercial and private uses, counts among those lucky few: The company can be proud of being ranked as one of “Austria’s best Employers 2014”, being placed fourth in the category of “Companies with 50 - 250 staff members”.

Karin Scasny, HRM Manager at Daikin, is delighted: “In our company, the people are in the foreground. Those people who together form our strong DAIKIN team”, she points out enthusiastically. “Treating each each other in a respectful and appreciative way is the base and pre-requisite for common success. Success is well celebrated then – together with those people who are contributing to this success day by day”.”

First Class Employer – team spirit wins awards

The Great Place to Work Award originated in the United States of America and evaluates the work places companies offer along the feel good factors respect, confidence, trustworthiness, pride, fairness and team spirit. The competition takes place annually as part of the Institute’s benchmark study on working place culture with a definite focus on staff members. They decide on the award’s conferment by filling in the Trust Index employee survey with 60 standardised questions that screen their states of mind!

„Values like ‘Absolute Credibility’ and ‘Harmonious personal relationships’ are placed on top in our company philosophy. And our team is living and practising those values on a daily base. Therefore the Great Place to Work Award is a wonderful confirmation for this Daikin family-spirit!”, points out Carl Lievens, Managing Director at Daikin.

For the coming season, at any rate, Daikin Central Europe is ideally equipped – the excellent working and staff climate is an ideal basis for future success!
