Brunn am Gebirge, April 2014_ Daikin’s new ground source heat pump is a highly reliable, efficient and eco-friendly way of keeping homes perfectly comfortable, while helping to cut energy bills.
Ground source heat pumps use naturally-occurring heat energy in the ground to heat homes and provide hot water. This energy is at a relatively constant temperature all year round and is unaffected by outdoor temperatures, making it highly stable and almost limitless, even in the coldest of winters.
The Daikin Altherma ground source heat pump is highly efficient, perfectly meeting the needs for space heating and domestic hot water. In fact, in an independent test carried out by the Swedish Energy Agency, it was the most efficient of all the ground source heat pump systems tested.
The compact indoor unit includes the heat pump and a highly insulated hot water cylinder, which makes it ideal for LPG or gas boiler replacement. It is also fast and easy to install, causing minimal disruption. Heat energy is collected either via a borehole or using horizontal pipes laid just below the ground surface.
The easy-to-use controls ensure optimal peformance and allow energy use to be monitored. Smart room temperature control reduces the amount of energy consumed, while ensuring high levels of comfort.
The Daikin Altherma ground source heat pump’s compact indoor unit, simple operation and smart controls makes it the obvious choice for anyone looking to tap into the stable and almost limitless thermal energy in the ground, helping to cut energy bills and keeping homes perfectly comfortable, even in the coldest weather.
