Business Building One (BB1) is an office building in the heart of Zagreb’s business district.
Climate in the eight storey building’s 12,800m2 of office space is controlled by a VRV monovalent heat recovery system. This comprises 48 outdoor units supplying 368 floor standing units in individual offices and supplying 12 ceiling cassettes in corridors and communal areas.
The system is designed to keep the offices warm on even the coldest days of winter – which can see temperatures fall to -15°C. It is highly efficient, recovering waste heat from areas being cooled and using it to heat other areas.
Fresh air is supplied by Daikin VKM heat reclaim ventilation units that also recover heat to help reduce system load further and increase efficiency.
The HVAC system is controlled by a Daikin Intelligent Manager, giving office tenants control over the climate of their individual offices and ensuring they only pay for the energy they use.

The 48 outdoor units were installed discretely on the roof of this large office building.

Floor standing units keep offices warm and comfortable, even on the coldest winter days.

Daikin’s Intelligent Manager allows control of more than 400 indoor units throughout the building via one computer.
