Since 1924, we have been providing heating, cooling, ventilation, air purification and refrigeration solutions. Founded in Japan, Daikin operates globally and has maintained a presence in Europe for more than 50 years, with its European headquarters located in Ostend, Belgium. These milestones reflect our longstanding presence in Europe and our continued commitment to the region.
In the EMEA region, Daikin Europe N.V. manufactures heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilation and refrigeration systems at 15 HVAC-R manufacturing facilities. Twelve of these facilities are located in Europe, one in Turkey and two in the Middle East.3)
Daikin's manufacturing footprint in Europe is complemented by research and development facilities located at key manufacturing sites across the continent. In addition, the Daikin Europe Research and Development Centre in Ghent, Belgium, serves as the global R&D centre for air-to-water heat pump heating and as R&D centre for DX systems, cold chain solutions, and electronics and controls.
