McDonald’s Rotor restaurant, in south west Zagreb, is benefitting from a range of Daikin systems that are meeting all its heating, cooling and refrigeration needs.
With the restaurant open for up to 19 hours a day, all year round, it was crucial that it was able to serve food in a comfortable environment, whatever the weather.
A Daikin VRV monovalent heat pump system provides basic heating and cooling to the restaurant via Roundflow cassettes. Fresh air in the lobby and kitchen is supplied by two air handling units that are linked to three Daikin ERQ condensors, to provide heating and cooling in these areas.
Additionally, a Daikin Altherma High Temperature heat pump, connected to a 500 litre water tank, supplies hot water for the kitchen and bathrooms as well as for the underfloor heating system in the corridor and staff room.
The climate control system is controlled via one of Daikin’s intelligent Touch Manager units in the manager’s office.
Finally, two J&E Hall condensing units, connected to an LU-VE evaporator, provide medium temperature refrigeration and deep freeze cold storage.
The VRV heat pump and ERQ condensers were installed on the roof of the restaurant.
Roundflow cassettes deliver comfort to the serving and dining areas in the restaurant, which is open for up to 19 hours a day.
The entire system is controlled via an intelligent Touch Manager in the manager’s office.
