The VTP Science and Technology Park building in Roztoky, part of the Czech Technical University, is home to a number of scientific businesses conducting research into vehicle technologies, including hybrid engines and fuel cells.
Client VTP Roztoky AS needed a reliable HVAC system that could deliver comfortable working environments for offices; one that could also provide cooling to laboratories.
A Daikin VRV heat recovery system was chosen to provide heating and cooling for the office areas, while two Daikin chillers deliver process cooling to the laboratories.
The VRV heat recovery system offers high levels of efficiency by integrating heating, cooling and ventilation, recovering waste heat from areas requiring cooling and using it to heat other areas. It is ideal for multi-tenanted buildings such as VTP Roztoky, as it gives individual occupiers control of their environment and ensures they only pay for the energy they use.
As well as high efficiency and reliability, a key benefit for choosing Daikin was that it could supply all the HVAC equipment, delivering an integrated, whole-building solution.
