(No) Pollen in The Air

Press Release, May 18th, 2018

Good news for allergy sufferers: Daikin´s Flash Streamer air purifer makes your home pollen-free. And it comes along with some highly appreciated side effects.

Vienna, May 2018 –  One man´s joy is the other man´s sorrow. Springtime, for example. Once the days get longer and the sun gets stronger flowers are blooming it is pollen time. People who suffer from seasonal allergies have no choice but to stay indoors during the times of the year (and day) when their misery is (?) most likely to flare up.  Yet they are confused when they still suffer, even when cooped up indoors. That is because they might have some severe air pollution indoors, including the type of allergens that run rampant outdoors.

As a matter of fact, indoor air quality can be worse than outdoor air quality, as these allergens have nowhere else to go, other than into everything you come in contact with from room to room. Allergens find their way into your home thanks to your pets, ventilation system, and even your shoes and your clothes. Running indoors when your allergies wreak havoc is not always going to give you the respite you are looking for.

Poor indoor quality

One of the solutions many people flock to when they think their indoor air is polluted with allergens is to open up their windows. But that is not always an ideal choice because: If you are trying to avoid allergens found outside, it does not make a whole lot of sense inviting more allergens in with open windows. And, even more, when it is extremely hot outside, you create additional discomfort. Heat plus allergies make for a very bad day.

How to remove pollen

A solution is provided by Daikin´s air conditioners. It already gives you respite from hot and muggy days, but it can also give you relief from your seasonal allergies. That is because many pollutants and allergens are water soluble. Air conditioners remove water from the atmosphere (that is why they keep you cool), which, as a result, removes these pollutants, pollen and particle matter partially. And this is only half the story…

Some Daikin unites are equipped with Flash Streamer air purifier and Titanium apatite deodorizing filters also. Daikin put its Flash Streamer air purifier to the test. The results are convincing: Daikin´s Flash Streamer emits high speed electrons which collide with oxygen and nitrogen molecules in the air. Together they eliminate allergens as well as hazardous chemical substances. And: The test showed that Daikin´s air purifier is able to reduce the amount of pollen based allergens in the air by 99,6% with just two hours of usage. This is, how Daikin provides allergy-sufferers with at least one safe haven – their home.
