Daikin Central Europe awarded kununu Top Company seal for the second year in a row

Press release, January 2023

Daikin Central Europe is a fast-growing provider for heating, cooling, ventilation, air purification and refrigeration technology. From its headquarters in Vienna it maintains its Austrian branch with more than 200 employees and manages 16 markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The CE region currently employs more than 600 professionals – and counting: another 250 new positions are being advertised this year. Based on anonymous ratings from current or former employees on the largest employee rating platform in the German-speaking world, Daikin receives the kununu Top Company seal for the second time in a row.

Vienna, January 2023 – “Our employees are the most important ambassadors for us as an employer. kununu gives talents and professionals looking for exciting careers an initial insight into who we are and what we stand for, helping us to recruit the best candidates for open positions. In the fiscal year 2023, we will fill around 250 new positions in the region, 70 of them in Austria. Everyone interested in us as an employer is therefore invited to submit a speculative application. Our industry is developing rapidly, and new job profiles and opportunities are constantly opening up in our company,” says Astrid Schneemayer, Human Resource Manager at Daikin Central Europe.

With a score of 4.2 stars, Daikin’s kununu ratings are well above the average of 3.3 stars for the retail industry. "We are proud that 85% recommend us as an employer and would like to thank everyone who voted for this rating. This is exactly in line with a recent internal company survey via Employee Engagement Survey by Culture Amp among more than 500 employees in the CE region. We are also pleased to rank above the industry average on kununu, being perceived as a modern company," Schneemayer points out. As an international company, Daikin Central Europe brings together people from a wide range of cultures. Openness, transparency, sharing different perspectives and employee participation characterize the corporate culture.

On course for growth – individually and as an organization

"We continuously develop our company and provide growth opportunities for our employees. Trainings and professional development are an integral part of our strategy. Additionally, we are actively addressing leadership – most recently with our Daikin Central Europe Leadership Curriculum. By 2024, more than 170 employees in leadership positions from the CE region – from managers, supervisors, project and team leaders to talents – will participate in four training modules. This will help them to further develop in the face of leadership challenges and to excel in achieving our corporate goals together. We are also planning to expand our nine existing regional training centers for Daikin service employees and our Daikin partners to facilitate our growing range of training opportunities," Schneemayer adds.
