ISH 2025: Daikin to present heat pump innovations and HVAC solutions for a sustainable future

Press release, October 2024

Brussels, October 2024 – Daikin Europe N.V., a global leader in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) and Europe’s largest hydronic heat pump manufacturer, is excited to announce its participation at ISH25. This leading global trade fair for HVAC and water will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from March 17-21, 2025. As a pioneer in heating and cooling systems with a century of innovation, Daikin will present its newest heat pump solutions and discuss its approach to refrigerant alternatives, covering a variety of HVAC-R applications, affordability, safety, and future-readiness.

Pioneering in low carbon heating and cooling

At ISH25, Daikin's 1,000m² stand will mark 100 years of innovation and discuss the future of the HVAC industry, emphasizing Europe's urgent need for sustainable heating and cooling to achieve EU climate goals.

Having pioneered heat pump technology as early as 1958 and introduced the Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump series for residential use in 2006, this sustainable heating solution has become Europe’s top seller, with over 1.3 million units sold. At ISH25, the fourth generation of Daikin Altherma, operating on natural refrigerant R290, ropane, will mark another significant milestone alongside several innovations for sustainable heating, cooling and hot water supply.  As with all Daikin heat pumps, this new series is entirely designed and manufactured   in Europe, meeting European market demands and the highest industry standards.

Solutions for all applications and budgets

As a leading HVAC company, it is Daikin’s stated mission to ensure affordable, safe, and future-proof HVAC solutions for every application – whether residential, commercial, or industrial – across all building types, from small to large, new to existing, and for all budgets. Daikin will also showcase several new solutions in the air-to-air heat pump field, addressing both the need for space heating and domestic hot water as well as the move to lower GWP refrigerants. Strategic investments over the past decades in expanding R&D capabilities for sustainable heating and cooling solutions, along with the addition of production capacity at a new heat pump factory in Poland, support this mission.

The best-balanced refrigerant choice for each application

At the world’s leading fair for HVAC and water, Daikin will share insights on the challenges of Europe’s heat pump industry, highlighting support for low-carbon heating, cooling, and hot water supply and best-balanced refrigerant choice for each application. This is crucial for the required widespread transition from combustion heating systems to sustainable heat pumps.

Daikin’s focus is clear: maximise the energy efficiency of units, keeping affordability in mind, and prioritie safety from production, to transport, installation and maintenance to decommissioning. ISH 2025 will also see the premiere of the new Daikin CO2 VRV.
