Heating Sales Engineer

Main purpose of the job:

The purpose of the job is to promote the heating product portfolio into the market, by actively approaching the network of installers, resellers, designers and developers, as part of the Sales team in the Heating Department of the Residential Business Unit. The role is responsible for maintaining and developing professional contacts in the Heating market, expanding the installer network by attracting and training new partners, aiming to position the brand as market & technology leader for heating solutions.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Achievement of company-level and personal targets defined in business plans, by contributing to the development of the Heating business in the designated area of responsibility
  • Developing and expanding the network of installation partners and resellers in the region
  • Identifying, liaising and integrating new potential business prospects into the Daikin’s professional network – installers, resellers, designers, residential developers
  • Providing constant updates on market trends and competitor movements
  • In the case of new products, active involvement in product launches
  • Preparation, modification, documentation and regular updating of agreements, technical specifications and quotations in the CRM system
  • Price matching as set out in the Discount Policy
  • Coordination of service issues with the relevant colleagues from the Service Department
  • Technical consultations with the Product management team
  • Regular consultations with the Supervisor/Manager
  • Active participation in the preparation of medium and long-term forecasts
  • Preparing reports and statistics on the tasks performed, offers, projects at the request of the Supervisor/manager
  • Active role in providing product related & heating specific applications trainings for the partners network
  • Participation in exhibitions, fairs and conferences
  • Participation in professional training and education
  • Providing support for the preparing of price lists, catalogues and information publications
  • Close cooperation with the sales & technical support teams
  • Active participation in the development of promotions for heating products

Eligibility criteria:

  • Technical/ Commercial education, University level
  • Experience in design and engineering of HVAC-systems, with focus on heating systems
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in direct sales or a sales-like position
  • A strong and sales-driven personality with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical competence as well as negotiating confidence at all contact levels
  • The ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Project follow-up and networking skills
  • Team spirit
  • Good English skills
