To optimize operation and increase efficiency, the Small Inverter Chiller (SIC) unit can benefit from upgrades and modifications. The Daikin Service Solution team developed a series of Retrofit Kits specifically designed to enhance the performance of SIC units which use R-32 refrigerant. These kits offer a range of components and technologies to improve performance, reduce energy consumption, and extend the life of the equipment. These retrofit options are an efficient way to unlock the chiller’s full potential. Daikin is ready to provide personalized guidance and help you maximize the full potential of this retrofit kit for your operations.

What advantages do Daikin retrofit kits offer for improving energy savings, efficiency, reliability and delivery time?
The Retrofit Kit’s main purposes are to improve the unit’s efficiency and strengthen its reliability. These options are an efficient way to unlock the full potential of the equipment. Additionally, Daikin's extensive distribution network ensures rapid delivery of kits. These kits are very easy to install and do not require complex operations. Below, we highlight four essential retrofit kits that will take the chiller's performance to the next level.

1. How to save energy and reduce costs with a Partial Heat Recovery kit
The Partial Heat Recovery Kit enables Small Inverter units to recover waste heat from the cooling cycle. This retrofit kit offers a dual-purpose solution by integrating a plate heat exchanger, a piping assembly, and a new front panel, facilitating easy connection to your heating system. It can recover 5% to 15% of the chiller’s nominal capacity, reducing the need for additional gas consumption for heating, resulting in significant energy savings and lower operational costs.
2. Increasing energy efficiency with Inverter Pump Retrofit kit
The Inverter Pump Retrofit Kit allows the installation of a dedicated pump controlled by an inverter, ensuring optimal speed regulation for enhanced energy efficiency. This retrofit includes both the pump assembly and the dedicated inverter, offering a more cost-effective and simpler solution compared to external pump installations. It is available for both low-head and high-head systems, providing a tailored solution that reduces energy consumption and boosts overall performance.
3. How to strengthen SIC unit reliability by using a Condenser Grille Kit
The Condenser Grille Kit reduces the risk of damage and extends their lifespan of protecting chiller’s condenser coils. This simple retrofit helps safeguard the coils from debris and external damage while also lowering the cleaning costs associated with coil maintenance. It's an effective and low-maintenance solution to keep your chiller operating at peak performance for longer.
4. Reducing risks of failure by using Phone Mobile App Retrofit Kit
The Phone Mobile App Retrofit Kit enhances to monitor the unit’s capabilities by making it compatible with Daikin's new mobile app. This kit enables real-time access to all your chiller’s data, improving unit monitoring and reducing the risk of failures. It also facilitates faster and more efficient field maintenance, as technicians can easily access critical information via their mobile devices, improving response times and ensuring smoother operations.
