Daikin introduces next generation Perfera for superior home air comfort

Press release, April 2024

Vienna, April 2024 – In Daikin's 100th anniversary year, the Japanese manufacturer is launching the next generation of the high-end Perfera residential air conditioner. The wall-mounted indoor unit has been completely redesigned and reengineered, promising unparalleled benefits for consumers. Year-round climate control and air purification go hand-in-hand with savings due to its market-leading energy efficiency and performance in both low and high ambient temperatures.

Advanced technology for every season

In today's world where energy prices continue to soar, efficiency of home applications is a necessity. The new air conditioning series, Daikin Perfera, is characterised by a seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) of up to 9,47, and a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 5,20. This allows users to enjoy comfort regardless of the season while reducing the energy consumption of the device. Furthermore, the device has an excellent energy class of A+++ in both cooling and heating modes for pair and multi1) combinations.

Elegant design for comfort and efficiency

From its discreet design that seamlessly blends into any interior to its European-modern aesthetics combined with smart functionality, the new Daikin Perfera is more than just an energy-efficient air-to-air heat pump – it's a statement of modern living. These benefits come with this wall-mounted unit:

Airflow optimization: The smart twin-flap design, together with the Comfort Plus function, precisely direct the airflow, prevent drafts, and ensure an even distribution of warm or cool air in the room.

Motion detection sensor: The 2-zone motion sensor adjusts the airflow and operating mode of the device, thus avoiding direct airflow on occupants. Additionally, the device automatically switches to energy-saving mode when an empty room is detected.

Heat boost: Perfera’s heat boost feature enables reaching the desired temperature 14% faster than conventional systems.

Quiet Operation: Thanks to the newly designed indoor fan, the unit operates at practically inaudible sound levels (reaching 19 dBA2) in silent mode), making the Perfera an ideal solution for urban homes.

Coupled with a low-noise outdoor unit, Perfera is able to deliver high energy efficiency all while staying unnoticed by other residents and neighbours.

Night operation mode: This specially designed feature enables adjusting the temperature set point throughout the night, reducing it by 2˚C in heating or raising it by 0.5˚C in cooling. This contributes to lower energy consumption and ensures a comfortable sleep.

Convenience through connectivity: The device can be operated remotely via the Daikin Onecta app, which also enables voice-activated control using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. The Daikin Onecta app also provides easy-to-use schedules and provides a quick overview of past energy consumption. When the device is registered on the Daikin Stand By Me platform, users have a constant overview of past and upcoming maintenance tasks and can extend the warranty for eligible devices.

Clean indoor air: The integrated Daikin flash streamer technology, a titanium apatite deodorising filter, and a silver allergen filter remove dust, allergens and odours. A new feature is the washable dust filter, treated with an active lonpure substance to additionally capture, reduce and remove bacteria and viruses.

Perfecting service and installation

Maximum capacities for classes 20 to 42 have been increased up to 20% for cooling and 30% for heating all while fitting within existing dimension standards, enabling consumers more cost-efficient solutions.

As the Perfera units are fully compatible with the recently introduced Daikin DCS Residential tool for installers and service technicians, easy remote monitoring of operations and adjustment of field settings is possible. This saves costs and time for servicing. Furthermore, thanks to remote diagnostics, technicians can already arrive on site with the necessary spare parts and ideally solve the problem during the first visit. Service technicians can access DCS Residential through the Daikin Stand By Me platform. Additionally, practical digital tools such as Daikin 3D or Daikin E-Care are available to them to provide the best possible customer service.
