New Daikin Nepura residential heat pump range, optimised for heating in colder climates

Press release, February 2024

With Nepura, the new residential air-to-air heat pump range, Daikin Europe seeks to provide a reliable heating solution that performs at temperatures as low as -30°C and delivers efficiency values of up to A+++ in heating. The launch is part of Daikin’s strategy to develop products tailored to Nordic climate conditions.

Vienna, February 2024 – Building on the success of the Optimised Heating 4 series launched in 2017, Daikin created the Optimised Heating 5 series, adding a commercial name to the series for the first time: Nepura. Developed to a higher standard with more advanced features, this range is replacing the current Optimised Heating 4 series.

Built to perform in extreme weather conditions

Nepura units are engineered to operate down to -30°C while maintaining high heating capacity at extremely low ambient temperatures. The improved outdoor unit structure, incorporates a full bottom plate equipped with a standard heater, completely avoiding ice build-up. Daikin guarantees best-in-class performance, with efficiency values up to A+++ in heating, making the Nepura range of heat pumps a smart energy saver.

Complete product portfolio

The Nepura range consists of Daikin Emura, Stylish, Perfera (wall-mounted & floor-standing) and Comfora units – offering a varied product portfolio to meet every need. Daikin Emura and Stylish indoor units are available in a choice of two different colours, black or white. The units feature a specially designed fan that optimises airflow for high-performance at low sound levels down to 19 dBA.

Intelligent technology

Driven by intelligent technology, Nepura units offer advanced features, such as weather compensation and fireplace logic, enabling customers to select their preferred comfort levels. The weather compensation feature helps offset heat loss in the house during colder temperatures, while fireplace logic takes into account secondary heat sources, such as fireplaces.

Once the room reaches the set temperature, the fireplace logic function automatically starts, switching off the indoor unit heating while maintaining the fan rotation to evenly distribute warm air throughout the room.

Daikin Emura, Stylish and Perfera indoor units are equipped with a built-in air purifying filter and use Daikin’s patented Flash Streamer technology. These features ensure harmful airborne particles, such as allergens, bacteria, viruses, and odours are effectively eliminated.

When connected to the cloud via the Daikin Stand By Me platform, Nepura units can be monitored by skilled technicians, enhancing reliability, and ensuring consistent, year-round performance.
