Perfumiarnia is a unique project of high-class apartment buildings in a former perfume factory, located next to Wilson Park in Poznań, Poland. The goal of the investor was to create a resident-friendly, safe, intimate and private place to live, integrated into the surrounding greenery. At the same time, the priority was to design well-thought-out and functional apartments to the highest standard. Therefore, it was decided to equip all apartments with heat pumps that can heat and cool as standard. The final choice was the mini VRV5 air to air heat pump system with R32 refrigerant, meeting all the investor's key requirements.

Blended into the surrounding space
The basic requirement for the installed devices was a very low sound level, both for the indoor and outdoor units. Mini VRV5 outdoor units have 5 low sound level steps, reducing the sound pressure to 39 db(A), making these heat pumps virtually inaudible to residents.
Another challenge is the location of these units. The designers did not want to take up the space of the balcony, which is an important part of every apartment, so it was necessary to place the units on the roof. Therefore, a system with the longest possible piping lengths is required. The mini VRV5 system allows pipe lengths of up to 120 meters long.
Another convincing argument was the very low height of these heat pumps, only 87 cm, which, combined with the already mentioned low sound level, makes these devices practically invisible to residents.

Stylish and easy to use
From the users' point of view, ensuring easy control of the indoor climate and the ability to match the indoor model to the interior design were a key aspect for choosing.
A wall mounted air to air unit was offered as standard, with the option for residents to change this to a concealed or cassette model. Cassette models are available with different decorative panels, including the Design panel and in white and black colors, thanks to which they will fit perfectly into any interior.
Towards control possibilities, residents have a standard the Madoka controller with a bluetooth connected app. Optionally a wifi connected app is available to control the indoor climate from anywhere, ensure the perfect temperature when returning home from work.
An intelligent central control system allows Perfumiarnia to settle the electricity consumption of each apartment without any need for periodic visits to the site. On top of that, this system enables central service management, checking the operating mode and settings, and displaying the failure codes.
With the environment in mind.
The final element in deciding on the choice of systems was the environmental aspect. From the very beginning, the investor emphasized the importance of selecting equipment with a reduced environmental impact. The Daikin VRV5 system, using the lower GWP refrigerant R32, perfectly fits this concept, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the building. At the same time, thanks to the built-in Daikin Shiroudo technology, these systems are safe to operate and easy to install, without any additional components designed and installed locally.
