About the project

In a bold move towards enhancing indoor air quality and operational efficiency, Daikin has rolled out a mechanical ventilation solution equipped with heat recovery capabilities and specialized filters. This innovative system, meticulously designed to address the evolving needs of modern spaces, is set to redefine standards in the realm of HVAC technology.

At the heart of this solution lies the integration of Air Handling Units sourced from the revered Modular R Series lineup. These units, renowned for their versatility and performance, are poised to seamlessly complement the existing HVAC infrastructure. Moreover, the incorporation of Daikin VRV units ensures a comprehensive climate control system, delivering both cooling and heating functionalities with unparalleled precision.

This initiative found its first home in a prominent Public Building nestled in Alcoy, Valencia. Spanning across various functional areas, including offices, university classrooms, and leisure spaces, the installation aims to create an optimal environment conducive to productivity and well-being. By prioritizing comfort and health, Daikin continues to underscore its commitment to shaping the future of indoor environments.

Challenge and solutions

This project's primary aim was to enhance indoor air quality in heavily populated areas, such as university classrooms. A mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery was implemented to ensure a consistent exchange of air, effectively removing stale air and introducing fresh outdoor air. The installation of Daikin Air Handling Units plays a pivotal role in fostering a comfortable and healthy indoor environment, delivering top-notch air quality for both work and leisure areas.

Furthermore, the integration of the Intelligent Touch Manager (iTM) enhances operational efficiency. This user-friendly controller allows for seamless management of the Modular R units from a single touchscreen interface, facilitating energy savings and reducing CO2 emissions. Ultimately, this comprehensive solution prioritizes occupant comfort while minimizing environmental impact.
