Vienna, June 2025 – Split air conditioner receives top marks in Stiftung Warentest comparison test: The wall-mounted unit Daikin Perfera (model FTXM35A + RXM35A) was named one of the two test winners among 3.5 kW cooling capacity units in the latest split air conditioner test by Stiftung Warentest (issue 06/2025). It received a quality rating of ‘GOOD’ (2.2), placing it at the top of the test field.

The unit was particularly praised for its high energy efficiency in both cooling and heating, solid air distribution, and overall good environmental performance. In the "Environmental Properties" test criterion, which accounted for 40% of the overall rating, the Daikin Perfera scored ‘GOOD’ (1.9). It also received ‘GOOD’ (2.0) for cooling performance and ‘GOOD’ (2.4) for heating. The annual climate impact from electricity consumption and the R-32 refrigerant was rated comparatively low.
Additionally, Stiftung Warentest noted the unit’s overall good usability, including operation via the Daikin Onecta app, and its whisper-quiet operation (19 dB(A)). The Daikin Perfera features advanced filtration technology to improve air quality: the patented Daikin Flash Streamer technology eliminates odors and deactivates allergens. Test results confirmed it inactivates over 60 types of pollutants such as bacteria, allergens, and viruses – including the influenza virus..
With the help of an motion detection sensor, the airflow is directed to areas where no people are present. If no one is in the room, the unit switches to energy-saving mode. Thanks to its modern, discreet design, the Daikin Perfera wall unit blends harmoniously into any living environment.
With the Perfera, Daikin offers an air-to-air heat pump that is suitable for energy-efficient cooling and heating, making it a cost-effective solution for residential use – especially in light of increasing energy efficiency and climate protection requirements.
