New Daikin FWT-HTV wall mounted fan coil unit as smarter choice for modern climate control

Press release, March 2025

Vienna, March 2025 – With the new FWT-HTV wall mounted fan coil unit series from Daikin, superior comfort, energy efficiency, and best-in-class indoor air quality go hand in hand. This next-generation integrates top-notch filtration technology, including Daikin Flash Streamer, Gin-ION, and PM2.5 filters, ensuring purified air in residential, commercial or industrial indoor spaces.

Optimized design for maximum performance

The wall-mounted fan coil units of Daikin’s FWT-HTV series feature a sleek casing and built-in Modbus gateway, enabling seamless integration into modern building automation systems. The new control platform offers both wired and wireless controller options, providing users with greater flexibility and ease of operation. With a cooling capacity range of 2.4 kW to 5.2 kW, available in five sizes within a 2-pipe configuration, the FWT-HTV ensures adaptable, high-performance climate control. Its Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) fan motor and factory-fitted internal 3-way on/off valve further enhance energy efficiency and precision. Another advantage is the unit’s  compact design, which allows for versatile applications, especially in space-constrained environments.

What sets Daikin FWT-HTV series apart

1. Smart, quiet and fast for great comfort

The BLDC motor enables precise adjustments of the fan speed.

  • In 'quiet mode', the operation is nearly silent.
  • In 'auto fan mode,' the system intelligently adjusts its speed between 40% and 100%, ensuring smooth airflow and comfortable temperature control.
  • In 'sleep mode,' temperatures gradually adjust to natural sleep cycles to ensure restful nights.
  • In 'turbo mode', the fan speed and compressor output are increased to maximum capacity for 20 minutes, allowing for rapid cooling. The system then returns to normal settings.

2. Integrated 3-way valve for enhanced efficiency

The factory-mounted 3-way on/off valve, included as standard, ensures precise regulation of water flow, optimizing thermal comfort and overall system efficiency.

3. Advanced air purification for healthier indoor spaces

Equipped with the Flash Streamer technology, the unit inactivates bacteria, mould, and allergens, providing purified air. Combined with Gin-ION and PM2.5 filters, the FWT-HTV ensures superior indoor air quality, making it ideal for homes, hotels, offices, and other commercial spaces.

4. Compliant with LEED & BREEAM protocols

The FWT-HTV supports sustainable building design, contributing to LEED and BREEAM certifications across multiple categories, including indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.

5. Built-In Self-Diagnosis for Easy Maintenance

The self-diagnosis system detects faults and malfunctions, providing real-time alerts through LED indicators and error codes. These can be accessed via the wireless remote control, enabling quick troubleshooting.

The Daikin FWT-HTV Hi-Wall fan coil sets new industry standards by combining innovative air purification, energy-efficient operation, and smart controls. Whether for residential, commercial, or industrial applications, it delivers superior performance, reliability, and sustainability.
