
In a one-of-a-kind event for the HVAC-R industry, 24 highly skilled finalists competed in the international Daikin EMEA Service Games 2023 to become the best service technicians for DX* in Europe. Austrian Christian Hiendler from Kloiber Kühlung GmbH, a long-time partner of Daikin Austria, secured the top spot among exceptional professionals. In 2024, his passion for technology will take him to the global Daikin Service Games in Japan, where he will demonstrate his skills alongside seven other top performers, including Lukasz Kot, a service technician from Daikin Poland.
Vienna, Ostend, November 2023 – “With our goal to ensure commercial customers as well as consumers the highest quality of service in the installation, maintenance and performance of Daikin products and solutions during their entire service life, the Daikin EMEA Service Games 2023 showcase impressively the professionalism of our service technicians and partners”, said Carl Lievens, Managing Director of Daikin Central Europe, responsible for 16 CE markets including Austria and Poland. The demanding games include a comprehensive theoretical examination, testing skills in troubleshooting, and a brazing competition. All of this within tight time constraints and with the highest quality standards expected from the candidates.

With the increasing demand for energy-efficient heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration solutions in homes, businesses, and industries across Europe, skilled service technicians in the HVAC-R industry are highly sought after. Their technical expertise of sustainable heating and cooling systems is constantly evolving with new Daikin innovations and the complex requirements of buildings, whether they are private homes, retail shops or thousand-square-meter manufacturing facilities.
“The Daikin EMEA Service Games raise awareness among talents and young students to step into this field and develop extraordinary skills and a promising career. In November 2023, the Daikin Central Europe Applied Systems Service Games 2023 kick off with a theoretical competition, and in February 2024, the finalist will head to Dubai for the Daikin EMEA Applied Systems Service Games. So, it remains exciting in the HVAC industry.
